I wonder what bad news is in store regarding the number of MSA Kart licence holders for next year ?

A quick snout through the available MSA annual reports show the following for (these) three licence figures

Year . Kart . Race .. Rally

2000 . 5414 .. 8872 . 4442
2001 . 5535 .. 8872 .. 4194
2002 . 5704 .. 9221 . 10129
2003 . 5672 .. 9228 .. 9994
2004 . 5419 .. 9437 . 10071
2005 . 5281 .. 9696 .. 9881
2006 . 5172 .. 9808 .. 9706
2007 . 4690 .. 9920 .. 9119
2008 . 4826 . 10313 .. 8993
2009 . 4750 . 10046 .. 8392
2010 . 4609 . 10228 .. 7919
2011 . 4520 . 10343 .. 7461
2012 . 4253 . 10499 .. 7331

Many ways to look at these data, but for me Kart & Rally have both dropped by 25% since the peak 10 years before.

No wonder the MSA is freezing fees for some licenses for 2015. The 2015 forecast must be bad.

As the current economic recession is only a "recent" influence, there was already a decline underway.

Does anyone have any pre-2002 and/or any 2013 & 2014 stats so we can build a bigger picture ?.
