Nobody's going to give you this without pushing the matter. There are rules governing the procedure. From memory the goods have to be fit for the purpose for which they are sold and last for a reasonable time, maybe a year. I think that in the first 6 months the supplier has to show you have abused the product. In the second 6 months you have to prove you haven'tetc. Given the nature of the product you may have a job getting a replacement engine ,but if 10% or more of starters have failed in the first year they are obviously not fit for purpose and should be replaced foc.
