I must say it's the first time racing at clay in over a year we had a fantastic time. Saturdays practice was short but hey for £20 it was great value. We had fun watching the pro kart race Saturday evening good racing loads of overtaking brilliant fun. Yes on Sunday the cadet starts weren't great but even some of the older classes had false starts, so remember they are cadets and are always learning. I must admit some of the driving standards in cadets was poor and needed addressing. I hope the cadet who broke his ankles makes a speedy recovery. I felt that it was a very friendly club well run and some great racing. My only gripe is that the tanoy system isn't very good over the far side between the esses and the hairpin we missed our sons trophy presentation as we never heard the tannoy anounsement if there was one. Also we run in mixed grids but they normally start the iame or Hondas 20 seconds apart so in theory they have there own races due to differences in the engine characteristics, but we had a great weekend and just wished clay was closer so we could race every month. Well done clay kart club
