Currently LGM enjoys separate grids even though they are integrated into club meetings. Therefore it seems clear that this change will be detrimental to them, though the impact probably isn't that great.

At a time when people are complaining about too many classes and lack of track time, you can see why the MSA would want to put a stop to this practise. It may not be so bad at the moment with just 1 or 2 series but if others sprout up then where will it end? If you want separate grids maybe you should hire the circuit on a separate day?
