I am with you on that. My objection is that, those who claim '... it's the heat ...' are misleading people and that, they may start to search for an even 'hotter/colder' wheel in the belief that would solve all their problems.

Until we actually discover what magnesium rims do, how they change the temperature compared to alloys, what the temp of out tyres would ideally be, then the ONLY honest thing to say is what YOU said:-

'it works for us in this circumstance but I don't know why. It may not work for you, however..... but it's worth a try, anyway'
