I like rolling starts - no problem when there is respect amongst drivers, and the skill level is adequate, and understanding that there is a whole race to deal with and a kart is not a disposable item for most. Make them fast and strung out not slow and bunched.
I don't mind standing starts either, but evidence suggests this keeps the pack tight and unless you have the launch skill you pretty much end up where you qualified. Certainly appears less carnage and damage which is good.
I haven't marshalled but have done some observing and lap scoring and its an art from to write down the order in which 34 karts cross the start line let alone work out who did what to whom.

Happy to go with the flow if it keeps the ambulance crew bored and money in peoples pockets
