The thing I don't get is that kelvin worked with all the major engine builders in an attempt to find a simple solution to the timing problem. If there was some feeling that this tool was not right then surely with all of there experience and expertise they would have realised it. My understanding was that so long as everyone used the tooling to set there timing then all engines timing would be the same or am I nieave. All we all want is parity with regards timing at least I think we do. So if all the engine builders use the new tools to set the timing on all there engines then when they get track side they won't fail the test or will they.
