Mmmm. 10% improvement! Do they come with another 30 horse power then! 10% would equate to 5 seconds or more on most tracks. The actual 'improvement' is 2 fold. 1. They may be more stable with regard to tyre temp which is crucial in managing pressure and 2. The placebo, someone told you they were better so you believe it. Let's face the hard facts. The actual rim can have absolutely no influence on the feel of the kart over and above another rim of exactly the same dimensions. The 'feel' as described is simply the feedback from the tyre which in this case forms about a 70mm rubber buffer between the solid surface of the track and the rim. The rim then sends that feel back into the kart via the axle and then onwards to your backside. To propose that the feedback feel can be influenced by anything other than the way the tyre/ pressure / temp just by the rim itself is ludicrous unless of course the wheel is bending all out of shape and losing all rigidity whilst rotating!
