Don't understand why you would want to wash out the grease that the manufacturer put in. They might not spin freely on the stand, but when they are under load in race conditions then the grease that's inside them will work correctly. I've seen countless people spinning the rear axle to get it to spin as freely as possible on a stand, as soon as you get it on track under load they will not work as good as they would with the manufacturers lube in them. If you do need to wash them out, then re pack with bearing grease. WD-40 is NOT a lubricant. But I could be wrong....
