Sorry Vince, I don't get it. In what way did those examples NOT match/parallel the example in RotaxVet's posting?

As far as I can see, they all address the same point: certain people who put THEIR wishes above other people's interest or concerns, particularly if they break the rules/laws in the process.

If they are not a very close match (in your opinion), tell me HOW/WHY they are not and I will be willing to amend my position.

RotaxVet rightly points out how their selfishness puts at risk the freedoms and pleasures of others who DO want to enjoy the 'track' legally and within the rules. As far as I can see, that's identical to all my other examples (and thousands more): people who want to break the rules/laws regardless of how they affect or hurt others.

I was just pointing out that selfish people are not unusual and are in ALL walks of life. We shouldn't expect to be immune from them in Karting, even if we'd prefer NOT to be!
