Simon.... you are failing in your duties of being a logical sceptic.
The time to believe something is when you have evidence. None of us doubt that there MIGHT be effects of an unpredictable scale, on unpredictable dates, on unpredictable chassis.... etc...
What WE claim is that the SCALE is UNPREDICTABLE and direction of change (e.g. more or less rear grip) is unpredictable ...... and thus USELESS as a 'tuning aid'..... unless you intend to 'test' every time the weather changes by 1 degree, just IN CASE, these are the conditions that make seat stays 'work'. Believing that seat stays may 'work' in an almost 'random' manner is hardly a ringing endorsement of their effectiveness.
