It will all depend on what level you are competing at, and what tyres you are racing on. Hard tyres, like mojo, are relatively easy to set up the chassis with, and I agree that a variety of axles, stubs etc will work....the softer the tyre the trickier it is to set up the chassis correctly...with very soft tyres an axle change, seat stays on or off, different rims, can make a huge difference in performance.
