The link was to the discussion that included the results of deflection tests and included 30 and 50mm axles which Liam may find interesting as he said he didn't have a 30mm axle to hand.

My view on axles is that we don't need 50mm axles. It would need a rule change to make people use smaller axles though.

I've never tested different stub axles so have nothing to add to that debate/question from a performance perspective. I have however, bent many more 17mm stub axles than 25mm stub axles and have had the chassis fitted with 25mm stub axles straightened many more times than I ever did any chassis with 17mm stub axles.
