Sorry to hear that Joseph may be hanging up his racing boots. We’ve certainly enjoyed racing with you guys over the years.
Next year will be a transition year for us as well, but I’m not sure what the ultimate outcome will be.
Although we’re planning to start 2014 in Juniors I’m not sure how long we can last. Tom is growing like a weed at the moment so I expect the 2-3Kg we had on a blue restrictor will have evaporated early in the New Year. I see little point in investing in super lightweight gear for just a few months, and moving to a purple restrictor would mean a real struggle in the summer. With GCSE’s this year we also have some other important priorities. If we did move to seniors I’m not yet clear what class might suit us best. Need to wait and see what happens with X30, etc.
One thing that does remain undiminished is Tom’s passion for driving and racing. Maybe a factor here is that we haven’t been able to race very much this year, for a variety of reasons. As a result the racing we have done has been precious.
I’ve always maintained that the friends we make during our time karting, is one of the most important things we gain from it. Certainly include you guys in that.
