We used to race at bayford and buckmore we started in clubman then moved to full cadets but if u look at the results the front cadets are only 0.75 to 1.0 second faster than clubman at most rounds but when that is every lap at the end of a 10 lap race your ten seconds back plus more. My son races Hondas and on a weekend where there is qualifying he can get within 2/10ths of the top super one boys but that might only be good enough to qualify 8th but the real difference is in the race the older experienced superone boys for example will have a quali time of 49.00 and in the race of 12 laps 10 of those laps will be as close as 49.20 49.30 consistently only the first and possibly the last lap will be slightly slower. My son on cold tyres takes 2 maybe 3 laps to get close to his qualifying time by this time the front 5 or 6 have gone. He knows he can match them in qualifying but to win and be successful it's all about consistency and that's what we are working on. Personally I think driving iame and Honda are slightly different only due to the engines caracturistics. I think there are great drivers in both classes and I think there will be a few drivers next year competing in both iame and Hondas and they will be competitive in both
