Guys, calm down. You need to read the whole thread. I don't agree with the term release but for the sake of the thread i kept on using it.
I think we can all agree you accelerate faster if you travelling in one direction (in line with the rear wheels) with as little to no slip as you can manage. The aim of getting a kart to pull of a corner as best as possible is achieved when you are in straightline. So assuming you have your kart set up and driven correctly, your rear wheel will contact the grown as you attempt to reapply the throttle on the exit of the corner when you steering is as straight as you can get away with.

Babington, who is accepted as good, applies the throttle at or beyond the center or apex of the corner, except for corners with an exceptionally early apex or flat out corners.
Release is a terrible term, i'm not sure if its a butchered Italian translation.
