TAG and Apex timing came in due to Supersport Tempus software not being able to go to 1/100th second in timed qualifying at S1 so only option was the TAG/Apex option at the time? AMB told us as a club (not Tempus) that the software was going EOL so we had to look for alternative, as TAG do not produce the decoders or the software and seem just to relabel it makes me feel uncomfortable.

So three choices, Alpha and Apex which mean your drivers and clubs do not have to buy new kit or the TAG branded solution which means new decoders, transponders etc...

Not solely S1, ABkC or MSA's fault, in hindsight it could have been handled better but look across to Holland and AMB who have largely sat on their hands for years seemingly doing very little for the UK karting market, they have well and truly let TAG in when in reality its no better just current software looks great on front end. AMB still persevere with Orbits which is a truly awful software timing system and have to be one of the worst companies to deal with in getting responses, proposals etc..

Alpha is UK based and support is very easy to use and maybe the most important thing is they are constantly updating the system based upon receiving active input from competitors and clubs, will the others do that?
