“If the sport is to survive it needs to get better!” Although you may not be happy with your lot in karting kezz99 , for whatever reason, to suggest it’s a sport survival issue is a bit of a stretch. Karting will survive as long as there is a demand, and I don’t see that raw demand disappearing, as long as dads have lads. The pressure on karting during the last few years is not the personalities in the paddock, “It’s the economy, stupid” to quote Bill Clinton’s former presidential campaign strategist. Less disposable income, fewer karters, less demand for karting mags, etc. As the economy starts to grow, however, and people feel good that their property wealth is increasing (5% pa predicted for the next 5 years), then I’ll expect to see karting demand pick up again. With regard to Kart Mag, although it’s sad to see an established publication disappear it does provide a real opportunity for something new and fresh to take its place as Bigjim1978, kai, and others have suggested. All it needs is for a tech savvy media entrepreneur with an interest in karting to spot the opportunity and have a punt.
