No I agree it is a very grey area and of course proof is key but my point with regards the msa is more a case that they become aware of people's problems and document it and if everybody made them aware and a pattern started to form then maybe the msa could take some form of action. It's very difficult it's a bit like an mot on your car it's really only as good as the day it is performed. A month later your brakes fail but u can't blame the mot guy as anything could have happened within that month. But with regards engine builders it's a very large amount of money that we are spending and you are relying on there expertise and integrity, and hope and pray that your engines are legal. I must admit I wouldn't have the first idea were or what to do to my engines to cheat or make them better that's why I use an engine builder because I just about know how to start it and change the oil. I dread the day my boy makes it into scruttineering and they strip the engine as I wouldn't know where to start putting it back together .
