No it categorically isn't right and there has been many debates on here about how to stop it and why it happens.

Personally I think contact in kart racing increased as a result of mandatory bodywork. You will always get crashes and the odd bump but I am afraid the loading and sideswiping will continue for as long as its not jumped upon and for as long as its encouraged by parents and some of the more unscrupulous teams.
