You are specifically watching your driver in particular..... and he is watching a mass of 18-30 karts. Try marshalling yourself....or do a day with a CoC as an observer.... and then make this type of comment..... I've done it.... You may find it changes your point of view about how simple it is to see not the result of contact, but specifically how it all started. Loading in particular...... even when I slow it down in the TV coverage at 25 frames every second it is often IMPOSSIBLE to be certain who started it all..... and that's in slow motion, not at full speed with 30 karts across the start line and you trying to watch them all. Even with 6 observers you would struggle. The only way you see something is if you just happen to be watching a specific kart or two, as you, in your son's case, ALWAYS are.
