Excuse me Team Poor but who are you to question where Adrian Newey's chooses to practise with his son and the amount he chooses spend on his son????
The mans been very very successful as have alot of these fathers who choose to spend alot on karting and there children. they may have made many sacrifices to earn the amount they do now. What they have in pound notes they may have sacrificed in working 7 days a week and long hours and not seeing there children in the early years....you just dont know.
I think everyone would like owner driver karting to be affordable to everyone. sadly its not....and its illogical to ever think it will be. however there are options. look at Club 100, EKL,etc theres good racing on a limited budget. and if you like maintaining a kart, you could always offer services at msa meetings. so best of both worlds.
Its good that you have smaller clubs and big flashy clubs. Its a bit daughting being a novice at PFI but cutting your teeth at a fullback, rye house, bayford etc eases you in.It gives you a chance before you go up against the big boys at PFI etc, and then onto maybe national racing.
