Far too many confusing letters and meanings, but the bottom line surely is that Karts have NUMBER PLATES, so does that not suggest/mean they should have numbers on them, not letters!
MSA seem to agree, and bring it on
... from 2014 new Blue Book regulation U17.28
"The MSA reserves the right to approve non-standard race numbers such as Grand Prix Winner - GP and 0 (zero), and also race numbers 1-10 (one to ten). No other non-standard number or numbers 1-10 are permitted"
In reality it is nice display your achievements, but if it isn't understood by others or duplicated at different venues it becomes very confusing and on occasions a little strange that you can get a letter for a one off race when the Club Champion winning the season does not get the same recognition.
So if it becomes Numbers only, how about coloured Nassau panels ie. Gold - Club Champion etc. Silver one off’s etc. But make it universal, so when you visit other Clubs they will know you won something special somewhere.
