There are many folk keen to cast judgement but very few prepared to roll their sleeves up and get involved.
However, looking through this thread its pleasing that there are plenty of other comments from those who understand the difficulty of trying to please lots of different people in a club environment.
For those kicking off at MBKC, I can kind of understand your frustration as you just want to go racing, but before you wade in with your Sparco's, these guys have made a balanced decision more than likely with more information than you or I are privvy to...
Lucy and I have worked with the various MBKC directors since we took over operating 3S in 2004 and yes, we've had our occasional differences, but what we have in common is a love for the sport and I take my hat off to all them (past and present) for having to deal with such constant criticism for a voluntary role.
Please keep in mind that this team of enthusiasts dont just give up their Saturdays and Sundays (which are long days themselves) but they sometimes work the Friday test days, sometimes Thursday evening for parking up. Then they have to do all the pre-event set up (more work than you think) and finally the 'minor' task of dealing with entries and looking after rules and regs...
