Are you saying that tyres were not marked up?
Some clubs use a stamp as well as writing the kart number on the tyres. I think the idea of barcoded tyres was to identify uniquely the tyre but clubs have not invested in the technology.
If someone had a selection coloured tyre pens then it could be open to abuse if only the number is marked.
Normally tyres are designed to last the duration of the meeting without any real fall off in performance- it might be that the track had rubbered in and any ovenight dampness had dried out in the afternoon. If you do suspect foul play have a word with the CoC. For big teams success equals finacial and commercial gain and this detorts any perception of fair play. The big teams are not interested in club meetings and only use them as test sessions.
