.............you always have to be careful when assessing something that you don't actually know to be fact

it may not have struck you, but if there is a chance to scrub new tyres in before a race meeting, it is actually a good idea. You don't ACTUALLY know if those tyres were the ones used used

......or perhaps they were just being forward thinking and preparing for the next meeting .....I have seen racers with a set of tyres specifically marked for a particular circuit ......way out of our budgetry restraints, but is a good idea if you can afford it .......if you have ever tried scrubbing a new set of tyres in on heat 1 on a dampish or cold track you will know exactly what I mean!!!!

no idea if that helps, but the point really is be careful about assessing something until you can speak with more certainty
