I believe Steve to be a cuddly "FURRY" godmother not a a "FAIRY" godmother however might be a couple in the local karting scene eh Ste ?.
Having an MSA race licence but always raced in other formulas outside MSA as well (raced before the MSA existed !!!), I have been warned that the MSA if they are made aware of or find out, have "suggested" they could withdraw an MSA licence as the other racing could by implication/motorsport involvment by the driver bring the MSA into disrepute as they (the others) do not have the exacting high standards of control on racing the MSA has !!! I cannot see the growing (since the recession) Non MSA karting to be a problem to them however as they well know it could/should bring some new blood into MSA kart racing, (3 non msa drivers moving to MSA next year already),which after all the msa abandoned new karting driver programmes,is what is urgently needed in karting.
Yes Bob's World is a business, but his passion for Karting has allowed through Indy Karting many new-Comers to get into KARTING "the hobby".
As the msa supposedly DO monitor Motorsport Forums occasionally (don't take much notice however though )who do they think they are, the old saying "he who pays the piper calls the tune" comes to mind, why are we putting up with them. The ACU who governed all motorcycle racing years ago were like the MSA and they took on the AMCA a seperate body of motorcrossers and lost them all The British AMCA Championship means something worldwide, can't even tell you any Super 1 Championship class winners this year!!!,£25,000 plus to do it nothing in any newspapers.
