Accoridng to the instructions...If the battery is still in peak or near peak conditon the light will blink greeen four times to indicate a minimum or four days' before the battery is empty. I've seen the new style transponders go for £130+ on eBay. I guess as long as the battery is decent, there's no point in spending £240 on new one when a secondhand one will do exactly the same job.
