To me it seems obvious why clutched karts must be started with the driver in the seat...this is what prevents the excessive reving. To rev the engine for 5 seconds would mean that the brake will need to be on and yet the reving will cause the clutch to wear dramatically. Therefore by having the kart on the floor u can literally see that it starts and thats it. The idea works, but this will just be a pain taking the kart to the designated area and taking it on and off the trolley.
This is what happens when you get people doing unnecessary things...the MSA intoduce an inconvenient solutions
