Tricky. Have you taken an ARKS test yet or driven a race kart on a full size outdoor track?
You may be surprised at the speed difference versus a typical indoor kart.
We started in Comer cadet but Honda looks like the way to go now if you are starting out and will have limited time in the class.
Cadets is a great learning experience, the camaraderie is great at club level, and the racing excellent. Also the inititial costs and running costs (at club level) are much lower than for Mini. Overall I think this is the safest route.
The Minimax class is also excellent. The racing is very full-on and tends to be less 'polite' than in cadets. Also the karts are much, much more physical to drive, being heavier, and with grippier tyres and a lot more power. This could be much more of a 'baptism by fire'!
Next Sheni club meeting is the last round before Rotax/Honda Super One so you can expet to see plenty of Hondas and a big grid of Minis as well.
