BFD..... as you said, you haven't even SAT in kart......
You're the PERFECT exmple...... Go on, explain your point....
But first, THINK about it!
If you have MORE grip (ALL 4 wheel grip, not just REAR grip) then it allows you to enter the corner (for example) 5 mph faster, pass THOUGH it 5mph faster and EXIT the corner 5mph faster...... even if the engine COULD 'bog down' (which it CANNOT unless you fall out of the power-band..... like faling off a cam in a road/race car....), you'd STILL be exiting the corner 5mph FASTER than your kart setup up to0 YOUR standard which DOESN'T bog-down. Your 'released' kart will be left for DEAD in the at ANY track!
If you STILL can't get it, try to explain to yourself.... and the rest of us.... what is HAPPENING when the kart 'bogs-down'. Are you suggesting that 'releasing' is the act of letting the rear wheels spin more freely as you accelerate OUT of the caorner...... how does a 5bhp kart DO that..... unless it's raining? WhatEVER you do to your 'release' set-up.... it does NOT allow you to spin your whneels and thus 'release' the kart with ONLY 5bhp!
I started on 5bhp kart FIFTY years ago and drove early Honda engined karts when Bob Pope first CREATED 'pro-karts' (with ONE engine, originally....). am FULLY aware of the restrictions of low BHP.
Secondly, if you CAN have too much grip..... I assume you will NEVER complain that your lad was beaten by a kart with illegally BETTER tyres (chemically treated or just a better make/type of tyre). Why not? Well if YOU can have too much grip, then SURELY that 'cheating' other lad with the illegal tyres must be MUCH slower than YOU, becauxse his better tyres have VASTLY too much grip and will, by YOUR logic, go SLOWER than your lad.....
Are you getting it NOW?
Adrian Newey DOES have more poweer to play with....... and his drivers DON'T use it to get 'release' for many reasons...... mopstl;y becasue they are NOT stupid will NOT spin the wheels with powesr-slides! Secondly, becasue they have down force which CAN and DOES 'defeat' all the power at his disposal so that the car CANNOT 'release'.....
However..... having met HUNDREDS (no... THOUSANDS) like you, you will STILL think 'release' is possible. Like all the rest before you, I'll ask you to explain EXACTLY what the difference is with a kart that 'releasing' and one that ISN'T! Tel us EXACTLY what is happening to the TYRE CONTACT POINTS when the magical 'release' occurs. Are BOTH contact points producing FULL grip (i.e., not 'slipping' at all)? Is ONE contact point FULY gripping whil eth eother is 'slipping' or are they BOTH slipping? If not WHAT are the OTHER options......?
Now..... I know you will do you best N*O*T to answer that specific question. I'll try to GET you to answer it in my next reply and that'll continue until I give up with you..... Just save me some time and TRY to answer that question before we get TOO bored with you!
JUst make sure your answer tells us HOW you have too much grip AND why you will NOT complain when someone cheats and runs BETTER tyres than you are allowed.
If you CAN explian that riddle.... wse'll continue this.........
AS IF!
The ONLY place you can have too much grip is the 'grip' some karters have to UTTERLY bogus ideas that they heard from someone else!
