Careful about BFD's advice on finishing braking at the turn-in point. BFD is giving you advice that is ONLY applicable to CARS and front-wheel-braked karts, e.g, gearbox and Aixro, etc.. Even then, you STILL sometimes hold brakes THROUGH the turn-in phase!
It's become fashionable to call this braking-through-the-'turn in' : "Trail Braking". It DOES work but QUICK drivers have been doing it for YEARS before it gained it's new silly name.
Again, don't take my word for it: simply look at videos of QUICK KART drivers (not car drivers) and WATCH if they ALWAYS finish braking BEFORE they turn in.... they DON'T!
Ayrton was the MASTER of this! He did EVERYTHING 'wrong' by the 'classic' book...... but was just SILLY quick! He even CHOKED on the exit of CORNERS..... I have never seen ANYONE else succeed with that! Talk about FAST in and SLOW out! But of course, BFD knows better than Ayrton did......! Those of us who SAW him at the World Champs lost the power of speech for a few hours.....
Just watch the 'Bercy' video of Prost and Ayrton and note QUITE how 'sideways' they are while STILL braking: the turn in occurs TENS of metres BEFORE they release the brakes: and that's on an INDOOR circuit

BFD has heard or read about advice given to CAR racers... he hasn't watched any QUICK kart drivers!
