hi danlee, thanks for the quick reply, i went to rs today to try and shed some light on the issue but to no avail! all the daytonas that they had there were much later and had a type 2 brake fitted. they had a few older 010bs with type1 brakes but these had no issue. ive a couple of questions. you say at mid setting? on my axle ride height they are just vertical elongated slots.do you have it in the middle? if i measure from the end of the bearing carrier to the brake disc carrier the nearest i can get before the disc fouls the small diagonal tube is 39mm with the axle at the lowest setting. i take it your daytona uses a type1 brake? im pretty sure a type 2 brake disc has a diameter of 18mm smaller (192mm) the type 1 is 210mm. this would give me a radius reduction of the disc of 9mm which im pretty sure would give clearance, but ive no idea if you could run a type two disc with a type 1 caliper?
