when on charge the led should flash red when charging and then go steady green. It should then flash green when removed from the charger or charger is switched off. Good thing to look for is how fast the led flashes red when charging if it flashes slowly(about once a second) it is charging. If it is flashing faster it is a good indication that the battery needs replacing. Mine did this and as the others said i sent it to kart crazy and got it back with a new lease of life in it and it now charges in 12 hours and gives over 6 days use.
