I agree that excessive kerbing needs to be clamped down on.
For example last month at blackbushe the driving standards were pretty good overall, people were touching the kerbs with two wheels as they have for as long as I can remember, no one has ever complained you just clip it with that side and since they are small ish kerbs it doesn't cause any problems.
Then just before the final they called another drivers briefing and said that anyone touching the kerbs even once in their race would be black flagged. In the cadet race the leader got a little wide on the last corner and got two wheels on the kerb, gained no advantage as it was just a genuine mistake and he was then blackflagged. After this it got even more inconsistent in senior rotax someone overtaking someone overran the corner went across the grass to keep the position and never even got a warning, the second place driver accidently got a tyre on the grass and lost time in the process and was then black flagged, one driver span in the race and was dead last so he just went around drifting and hitting all of the kerbs and was only given a warning. All very inconsistent. By all means inforce the rule, but use common sense, if you hit the kerb by accident and lose time then don't black flag them, it should only be when its intentional and gains time that it should be punished.
