I'm not so prepared to put it in the psychobabble bin.

However I do note that two drivers in the same team in Formula 1 can have their cars set up differently.

If there were no driver variables and no chassis variables, then both cars would be set up identically. Presumably the setup for Webber would not work for Vettel and vice versa.

But then I also note that various kart teams attest that a new paint job on the drivers' helmet can improve times measurably.

And I know that a certain other driver has used a voodoo curse on my kart, how else to explain how he has kept beating me this year?
