Unfortunately, gambling on wets rarely pays off as races nowadays always seem to get stopped if it rains and the majority are on slicks.

Conversely, gambling on slicks can pay off, but if the circuit is really dry enough for slicks, most will be on them anyway. There is little advantage to being the odd one out on tyre choice.

Clerks need more guidance on when a meeting is wet/dry/open (some clerks declare a meeting open when the circuit is bone dry) and when a race should be stopped. In my view, the only time a race should be stopped because of a change in the conditions is when the meeting is declared dry before the start and it rains heavily enough to cause plenty of karts to fall off. If the meeting is open the race should not be stopped because people chose the wrong tyre.
