I see what you're saying but, by that reckoning, we would have been better to throw on a set of slicks in the safe knowledge that when it started to rain the race would have been stopped anyway. We, like half the grid, took the gamble to go for wets, which initally seemed like the wrong choice as the track was drying rapidly. When it did start to rain it looked like our gamble paid off, until the red flags came out.
