Hi. I have a question about the bearing hangers on my Gillard 010. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
If you were to look at the bearing hangers from the side, with the axel removed. The 3 bolt holes that are used to secure the bearings, they are a weard shape and I am not sure whether this is due to wear or as they are meant to be.
The lower part of the bolt holes are small, and the correct size for the bolt. The upper end of the bolt holes are enlarged, so when I put the axel in, lift the axel (for lowest ride hieght), before tightening the bolts to secure the axel in place, I notice that the axel can not only move up and down (high and low ride height positions), but in the high position, where the bolt holes are larger, the axel is allowed to move front and back as well.
Is this movement correct?? Or have to holes become too large?
Chassis year - 2008.
Many thanks for any advise.
Olly
