Fare well to a friend & fellow karter. When I came into karting 32 years ago Martin was (Karting) you could not read about or talk about karting "or probably buy anything without Martin being involved from race suits to magazines" he was not an easy man to deal with BUT staight and too the point! Would argue over a 19pence nut & bolt, but would give you 10's of thousands of poumds of credit if things was not working out for you or you were having a bad time, and many a famous race driver having to thank for their careers. He would always turn up at charity or promotional events if it would help you or karting. Has some people said he was not everyones cup of tea but we Teesside Karting and EPEC will miss him and and massive round of applause he received at the end of our British 24 Hour event brought tears to many. RIP to a great champion.
