i dont know the lad or his real age scott, just assumed as he was a cadet he was around that age. anyway like i said i have a lot of respect for you, so dont want to get dragged into an argument/fall out, im just saying based on teh video, yes the lad was wrong to hit him and karting is a non contact sport, but having said that, if i was the clerk at the time, i would have called it a racing incident as looking at the video he was closing fast, changed direction to try to get up the inside and seemed to misjudge his closing speed.
i have ALWAYS been one to voice my opinions on bandits/bad driving etc, ive been subject of it myself a few times, and ive also given out a few black flags in my times for it, but i think its wrong to victimise a 13 year old on an open forum, when the clerks have already deamed it as a racing incident. and there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE for threatenign behaviour from other parents/children after the incident, its not a rabble, your not vigilanties, there are proper procedures to go through, yes people may feel peeved, but doing that to a child is BANG OUT OF ORDER!....lets put it another way, if it was your child or driver, how would you feel if people started threateing them after they made a mistake.
LIKEWISE, i agree if the lad hasnt apologised for the contact then its pretty poor form by him too, id suggest Anthony would like to get the 17s contact details and get his lad to ring them up to apologise and maybe give his trophy to the lad he hit??...he may have not done it intentionally, but it still happened.
