Mychron anytime, I run both an Alfano on my kart and Mychron 3 on my son's. Mychron 3 does everything you'll need, and is simple to use. The Alfano I find very confusing, I often end up losing the times and the times don't always register, instruction manual is poor as well. Having said that the cables on the Mychron are a bit flimsy. Mychron dash is also well laid out, Alfano isn't.

I might even sell my Alfano and get a Mychron as the Alfano's getting on my nerves now. I guess if you can afford it go for the Mychron 4, although I have no experience of that version.
