they do the same thing in stock car racing, if you cause contact you get dropped 2 places....altho that happens a lot...but does work!

i cant comment on the incident in question, i wasnt there, but i speak from a lot of experience (from both sides of the fence) that parents usually concentrate on 1 kart, marshals have to watch all 30 so natuarally parents will spot every tiny bit of contact with their kid while marshals will miss things

i suppose the real answer isnt to blame marshals, but to get kids to drive properly instead of like idiots.......a lot of that is down to parents either persuading them to do it or not punishing them and making them apologise when they do knock someone off
