Chassis can be 'not straight' in all sorts of ways. Checking some do not require a 'jig' or any special tools.

If you post your email address, I'll send you 'my' guide on how to check some of those dimensions.

There is the other possibility that the 'bend' is in the stub and not the chassis. Check this by holding it back-to-back with a brand new one.
