It may not be as clear cut as you think. If you are going Riyadh, unless you buy used, there are large set.up costs. Even buying used, you might have to factor in the costs of a rebuild, spares etc. If you hire and run with a team, you will basically be paying for the kart in installments. Teams will usually have all the tools you require, spares, jets, engines, carbs etc and general setup hints and tips. Owner/driver can come later when you decide that karting is definitely for you. You'll have the costs of the chassis and engines, plus ongoing cost such as damage and rebuild. Some teams will require you to make good damage caused during racing and there will be a vast difference in their definition of wear and tear. Something you might be happy enough to run with on your own Kart, small bend in the axle say, will be replaced by a team. Slightly bend it again in the second heat and you could be looking at a mounting bill. Rotax top speeds will vary from circuit to circuit so don't get Hung up on that. Probably anywhere between 60-70mph.
