Alex,
Tonykart, Birel etc are merely the makes of the chassis. The stickers with the companys name will come with the kart if you bought it new, however some people then take them off if they have to fit new plastics, or they become too scuffed and covered in rubber from racing.
Whether the kart has these stickers on or not would make no difference to the karts performance, however it may reduce the cost of the kart by 50 quid or something. However it is much more important to buy a decent, straight kart.
As for the cost, if you were to have stickers from a company that sponsor you personally, not the previous driver, then ofcourse it will help you with the cost as they should be paying you or giving you something free. But if this is your first kart then you will not be getting sponsored, you need to prove yourself first.
To sum up, having certain manufacturers stickers does not change the cost of your karting. The only way it would is if you wanted to change them regularly.
Cheers,
