Some scruts don't like barrel nuts for some reason, probably because they aren't locking nuts unless you use a shakeproof or split washer, and they tend to mark the alloy or magnesium.

Some rims have so little room for the nut that even some of the 10mm long reach sockets can bind in the wheel nut recess.

It is easy to get distracted when tightening wheels or indeed any other part on the kart.

It's not that easy to fill the holes and re drill, so unfortunately you will have to keep it as an emergency spare.
