Ian,

The questions you have asked weren't in my initial question.

I did not buy a new helmet and get it painted to go faster. The visor was free in the deal I got.

I have always wanted to have a custom airbrushed helmet it is an expression of who we are. I go testing/ racing every week and could afford to get the helmet I had always wanted which I did. I then asked how I should best look after this hence the post.

I know fine well the helmet will not make me go any quicker but then again why do people buy expensive watches when a Ł3 pound watch will tell exactly the same time. We all like to be individuals and without this the world would be a boring place.
