You are banging your head against the problem that's been known for years. It's NOT easy to measure Caster on a kart. We COULD do it but it would be expensive. The problem is that you need a reference 'plane' to start with and you need accurate measuring tools.

To get close, have a look at Laser Tracking kits. They mount on your stubs and project a beam across to a similar device on the other stub. You can watch the angle 'drawn' in the opposite gauge as you move the steering through a small movement. It's STILL not good but.....

If it was easy and cheap to do with a simple 'tool', we'd be saying: 'Buy Fred's Wizzo Caster Gauge: it's COOL!'.... we aren't because such a tool doesn't exist and THAT's the case because it's not EASY nor cheap to make!

Many karts have top and bottom Pills which have 3 or 4 possible settings. That limits the adjustability to known amounts: High, medium and low caster. We thus don't need to know the actual angles, we just need to know High, Medium or Low.

With pills top and bottom that have 3 or 4 holes, it's possible to adjust the caster and camber semi-independently..... but only within a fixed number of position.
