agree with what steve said.

trophies are very important to karting, especially as encouragement to the younger or novice drivers.

ill never forget getting my 1st kart trophy and this was back when we always had TKM grids at wigan large enough for B finals. took me a while to get one but that sense of achievement in getting there on a shoe string was immense for the whole family. theres no better feeling than looking at a shelf full of trophies to remind you of a job well done. i wouldnt certainly give that gold cup or championship trophy for anything!

it is a shame when people dont stay behind to collect them, i always did no matter the position. however remember some people whos racing finished earlier in the day can sometimes have very long journeys home and cant afford to wait through the rest of the finals, 30 minute grace period and then the presentation itself to get home in good time.
